Lets face it, iPhones do not have the best battery life. When it comes down to it, no one provides the extra battery you need better than California manufacturer Mophie.
The battery case maker is widely known for their high-quality and high-priced cases that provide iPhone users with added battery life. Mophie recently released their new line of cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and I purchased a case for my iPhone 6 Plus to review. Check out their promo video:
At $99.95, the Mophie Juice Pack provides over 60% of additional battery life, as advertised. The case is, of course, fairly simple to use and remains faithful to previous iterations of the Juice Pack. Inside, you’ll find the case, a charger, and a pamphlet with information regarding Mophie’s 1-year warranty policy. With the simple flip of a switch, users will immediately find their phones charging and ready to last longer than expected.
At first, I was a bit disappointed in the advertised 60% of extra battery, but, with the iPhone 6 Plus, that additional power is quite enough. One of the iPhone 6 Plus’ touted qualities is its long-lasting battery life and, with Mophie’s Juice Pack, that extra 60% makes a big difference. On a typical day, iPhone 6 Plus owners can usually make it through their busy days with one single charge. On those rare occasions when you may need that additional power, Mophie’s Juice Pack for the iPhone 6/Plus will be enough to get you through to the next day.
Full protection with an ultra-thin design.
Mophie is definitely known for their quality, and the Juice Pack for the iPhone 6/Plus is no exception. The case feels smooth to the touch and offers easy access to the Volume and Ringer buttons. The Juice Pack case also advertises its ability to not only charge your phone but protect it against drops. It is true, your phone is slightly protected while in this case, but the screen isn’t truly safe from high impact drops.
There are some downsides to this case, though. As expected, the headphone port is somewhat out-of-reach and are not accommodating to some headphone styles. However, Mophie provides a headphone extension to solve this problem, but some users may have a hard time keeping track of this accessory. Attempting to remove the phone from this case also proves to be rather difficult. The phone slides in with ease, but the removal process can prove to be a bit tedious and aggravating. Another irritating con is that the black version of the Juice Pack in particular is prone to getting dirty from oily hands and smudging.
Overall, I would highly recommend this brand and this case to iPhone owners in the market for a new battery case. Though it is expensive, the Juice Pack provides the additional battery you need while also sporting a slim design and Level 2 protection. You find this product and other products on Mophie’s website.
