This is a very interesting CD. Everyone I let hear it seems to use the same key word to describe it average”. whether it be average vocals average musician ship average song writing etc. So in that way
I guess you could say this CD is average but Don’t just stop there. When I first heard this CD I was like “hmm this is pretty ok” as I kept listening I started liking it more and more. One thing that makes this CD standout is the very personal intimate lyrics about life struggles thanks to God. Sure it can be argued a lot of Christian song writers tough on these basic topics something about this CD makes it stand about above all those. For me it comes out in the “averageness” of his voice. I love hearing people who Don’t have anything “special” or “amazing” to bring to God but they just have a passionate heart to speak their heart to God. That is what Duvall is to me though nothing sonically is amazing I can feel the passion in his voice in the music he puts his all into this work. I say he because the singer (on the recording) is also the bass player drummer and guitarist so this is his project. And I just think its rad. My favorite track hands down on this CD is called “Way Deep Inside”. This song almost starts up kinda upbeat folk music and gradually turns into an upbeat pop rock song. This is the song that if you drive by me in my car you will see me swingin my head around dancing flailing about (possibly causing a little swerving.) So if you drive by me and hear the infectious pop rock melodies of Duvall WATCH OUT!!!
