the Conflict

I was waiting for this CD for quite awhile. I heard it on a bunch of Facedown Records comps and the tracks made me itchin for more Falling Cycle. I hear a lot of poeple saying they Don’t like this whole metalcore” thing that has suddenly become the trend. Well as far as I am concerned as long as their making good music THEY CAN CALL THEMSELVES “algebra grindcore w/ a twist of swing” I really Don’t care good music is good music.

Falling Cycle in my opinion is metalcore at its finest and the CD “the Conflict” is no exception. This CD is tough energetic and full metal what else do you need? My friend described the vocals on this CD as “milky” I do not know exactly what that means but for some reason it made perfect sense to me so figure that one out.

The intro to this CD was somewhat unexpected but very much fits with the rest of the CD the track is entitled “Initium.” They used two samples one of a mideval choir and a sample from the movie “Gladiator.” The next track is a perfect representation of this album hard heavy quick they waste no time. To be honest the main reason I wanted to get this CD was a track I heard on the Facedown Records comp entitled “A Broken Glass.” First of the song is just rad but there is one thing that is one this song that is on no other. Coming from seamingly no where the vocalist blurts out a very high pitched almost woman like scream totally caught me off guard and for that I enjoyed it.

This CD is definatley a good buy What I hear from many people is Falling Cycle is one of the leaders in the metalcore area (secular and christian) so that should tell you something pick up this disk.

God Bless
