Son, I loved you at your darkest

Music not for the average listener. This CD is seriously amazing but if you Don’t have an appreciation for good innovative music, it might just pass you buy. If you are expecting a hardcore CD, you will be dissapointed. Their is screaming, their is heavy distorted guitar, true but this is not hardcore. Their are no breakdowns, sorry kids. Dancing to As Cities Burn is much more of a full body flailing interpretive dance action. Trust me, I do it…

This CD is more of an experience than anything it takes you from loud cathartic screams and lulls you into a beautiful guitar driven melody. Not many bands I can think of equal As Cities Burn. Think of it as a Mix between Christian (from Blindside A Thought Crushed My Mind”) screams mixed with the musical stylings of MeWithoutYou mixed with “moon is down” Further Seems forever that will give you somewhat of an idea of what to expect. It still does the band no justice however. The standout track because it sounds like nothing else on the CD is “the widow”. I had it on a mix and I honestly thought I had put in a Jimmy Eat World CD for a second. This is one of the most heartfelt passionate songs I have heard in a long time it is tough to listen to but the passion flows from the speakers. This song alone is worth buying the CD.

I love the musicianship on these CD the guitar parts just flow into each other perfectly. This CD is beautiful one of the most genuine heartfelt CD’s I have heard in a long time. This is music with a purpose.
