Know Nothing Stays the Same

Well Copeland does it again. This CD Know Nothing Stays the Same” is a cover CD. It gives us Copeland fans something to listen to until their new CD comes out. Though their first CD is still one of my favorites it is easy to play out because it is so freaking good. So getting these new songs is a total answer to prayers. I think I have become increasingly sappy and emo oriented recently haha just an observation.

On this CD they do covers ranging from So Phil Collins? “Another Day in Paradise” Carly Simon’s “Coming Around Again” Billy Joel’s “She’s Always a Woman” Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” and Stevie Wonder’s “Part Time Lover.” My favorite cover is to the song that the 80’s movie Top Gun made famous “Take My Breath Away.” You can always count on the Copeland boys to come up with amazing vocal harmoies and simple straight forward Rock.

I was reading their site awhile back and it said Copeland doesn’t like writing anything that wouldn’t sound good simply vocal and piano or vocal and guitar. They stay true to that statement on this CD. The songs are simple but they are so beautiful. After one sitting of this CD I was in love same with my friend Kim she went out and bought both Copeland CD’s after hearing just 2 tracks.

My one complaint which doesn’t sway the rating I give this CD is they have a hidden track on tck which is a remix of one of the other covers on this CD. THe only reason it is a complaint s because their are about 73 tracks before that one and 12 after so its hard to find if you on’t know what track it is on. SO NOW YOU KNOW!

This is not a normal lame cover CD. This is a high quality well thought out CD that keeps the original artists integrity and adds a whole lot of Copeland flabor. But Don’t just take our advice make your own decision.
