Homesick EP

These guys just came out this past year hitting the Sac town scene with a whole different style then normally found at shows these days. If anyone misses old switchfoot well miss no longer cause this band takes the inspiration from switchfoot and adds their own little kick to it. The cds a six song ep, well its actually two cds with three song on each but its worth buying both, but yeah its filled with some awesome songs from the heart of four men of God. With two ex-members of the local band 3 Legged Chair, A youth pastor, and a goofy cool kid they’ve made an awesome cd. Now I know what your saying, if this cds so good why did I give it an eight? Well the CD isn’t the greatest recording and doesn’t do as much justice as it should to how well this band sounds live with a mix of alternative rock and mellow rock.

The first song deals with a guy talking about how a girl is trying to mess with his head telling him she’s the one even though he knows that shes not.

The next, “Away” deals with a person’s life going nowhere fast and needs to make a change but decides doing things his own way is better though the pain doesn’t go away.

The next song is my personal favorite and the title track “Homesick.” This is about where ever christian has been before in their lives when you feel like your so far away from God and you finally realize it and go running home to Him. When the chorus hits its so hard to keep from just praising God right there.

The 4th song is a heart warming song about giving your heart to God and letting him take care of the pain living your life and loving it.

The next song is about knowing that you belong on the good side of life with God and knowing its not easy to always stay on that side but is well worth it.

The last song is probably my second favorite off both cds next to “Homesick”. Its about how your heart feels with joy love and feels truly alive when you are let free from your burdens that God has taken away.
