Four Wall Blackmail

I first heard the 30 second clip of A Green Desire” on Dead Poetic’s website after noticing the band had been signed to Solid State. Needless to say it only wet my appetite I had to hear more. I had been waiting for a really quality melodic hardcore group to come out and it seemed I had found the number one runner.

Brandon’s vocals seem to flow over the guitar melodies with seemless accuracy. Definatley an awesome mix of emo and hardcore or as they would say “It’s just rock and roll.” Whatever you label it it is definatley done well. In my mind this CD would rank up their with acts such as the Used Thursday or At the Drive In. This CD goes from tracks that are very much rock n’ roll to acoustic worship style with “bliss tearing eyes” an awesome track. The title track “Four Wall Blackmale” is an honest potrayal of Brandon’s own battle with hidden sin. A song I believe we can all relate to I know I can.

The one thing I believe this CD could have done a little better wasa adding a little more diversity. Though there is some it all pretty much has the emo w/ screaming it doesn’t really have that song that just pulls everything together. All the songs are great it just seems like more could have been done.

Besides that small detail this is a strong solid Rock N’ Roll album and is definatley worth a shot. Don’t take my word for it go listen yourself.
