Denison Marrs

To be honest I do not know how to best review this CD. Though I have heard much of Denison Marrs over the past few years I honestly never really listened to them so I did not know what to expect when I got this CD in the mail. Needless to say, I was suprised, in a very good way.

I Don’t believe I can think of any bands that have the sound of Denison, which is wonderful in itself. They are almost more of an experience, you have some Radiohead, some Interpol, some Deadlines they are all over the place. Very inventive in their sound. Their is a mix of very ambient driven music to very rock driven get up and dance style. My fav song Last Hope” is a great example of that get up and dance style. If you know how to 80’s dance its best to bring those skills about and get down. These guys are not your typical rock n’ roll band. They are a mix of bare bones rock with some very artsy twists interesting yet amazing vocals and some awesome drum work.

Like I said I Don’t know to best review this but to say its really freakin good. So do yourself a favor if you like good creative rock get it.

I've been doing some form of ministry since 2000. For 13 years I was involved in the youth ministry at Cordova Neighborhood Church as everything from youth intern to youth pastor. God has led me and my lovely wife Bethany to Church of the Foothills where I currently reside as the Digital Publishing Coordinator. I'm excited to see where God leads my wife and I.
