And Their Name Was Treason

Ever thought of what Pop-Punk and Hardcore mixed would sound like? I haven’t, but incase you have, you might want to take a listen to A Day To Remember.

ADTR definitely has a style of their own, fusing growling hardcore with pop-punk resembling New Found Glory. Sometimes I laugh out loud because it is just hysterical listening to this album, the two genres do not really fuse together. ADTR plays their pop-punk parts good, with some catchy phrases and beats, but the hardcore parts are generic breakdowns. The message in the album isn’t the best either. “Stop slitting your wrist, and Slit your throat? isn’t the best positive phrase.

Bottom Line: If you like pop-punk, you will probably enjoy this album, if you don’t then avoid this album.
