A Chorus of Obliteration

All right metal heads this CD is for you. Pull out your acid washed genes, raise your fists, comb your mullets and get ready to rock.

First thought when I heard this CD was Living Sacrifice. Many of the riffs and drumming remind me of the Old Living Sacrifice. I still think that holds true, but they also add a little Metallica, Comeback Kid (Chant Vocals), and old Underoath (Death Metal growls). I was not really sure what to think of this CD. It is very old school metal style.

One thing I know for sure, if I heard this CD about 6 years ago it would have been my favorite CD. The musicians in this band are amazing, their are amazing guitar solos, fills, the drummer is also amazing. The vocalists as I said remind me of a mix of Metallica, Living Sacrifice, and Underoath (old). Going with my current music tastes it is not my favorite CD, but mainly that’s because I am impatient and its hard for me to sit through a 1 1/2 long metal intro, no matter how impressive it is. But Don’t let that stop you from checking this CD because that is my personal preference not anything that should stop you from checking this CD out.

One of my complaints is that a lot of times the drums sound really muted, especially at times when the other instruments cut out.

I warn you though, if you choose to get this CD you better think of growing your hair out and working out your neck. I guarantee this CD will make you spontaneously go into fits of head banging, yes that’s right kids, head banging. None of this Hardcore dancing madness, we got straight up metal action. There are a lot of bands that claim Metalcore but this is one of the few bands I would say actually has more metal than core. Shake your fists!
