Hi Bryce,
My mother always tells me, that it is important to keep focused on liking christian girls. Why is this so important? There are so many girls that like me, and they are very nice. I'm 14 yrs. old and I know I can't date right now. But my mom says that some girls that say they are christian aren't really. So how do I know? Thanks, for getting back to me about the music question last month. Stephen, getting back to you is my pleasure totally. There is a verse in Matthew that talks about being "unequally yolked" in our relationships. The basic idea of the verse is that dating someone who is not Christian is most likely going to do more harm than help (to you.) imagine standing on top of a table and trying to pull someone up onto it without help, pretty tough right? Well now imagine letting the person on the ground trying to pull you off, that is a lot easier. Same thing in relationships it is a lot easier for you to be pulled down than it is to pull people up. It is really hard to know if they are going to lie to you, just be praying about it a lot. God answers prayers and reveals things to us through his Holy Spirit and as long as you want to do what he wants for you he will help you through this tough situation. if you have more questions please e-mail me!Asked on: April 22nd, 2004 PST | By: Stephen] |
