Feb 1st | Interview with: Arisen | | REVIEWER: Antonio De Jesus Ibarra REVIEW DATE: 2012-02-01 INTERVIEWER: Antonio De Jesus Ibarra
With melodic harmonizing guitars, catchy choruses, in your face riffs, explosive double bass, and a pounding low end bass guitar, The Texas Christian Metal/Hard Rock outfit Arisen has it all. Originating in New Braunfels, Texas, the band has played shows at Harmony Sweet in New Braunfels, Texas, and also The White Rabbit in San Antonio, Texas. Long time friends Jonathan Norris(guitar), and Cameron Huser(Bass) set out look for prospective members in the summer of 2011. Not too much later, the two recruited Alejandro Guerra on drums in August, and two months later found the longtime awaited vocalist, Jeremy Landry. Sharing the same Christian beliefs as one another, they decided to come up with a name that would represent their love for Christ, and chose to use scripture to come up with a name idea. (1 Corinthians 15:12-22) is the story of the resurrection of Christ from the dead, and from that scripture, we get that Christ has "Arisen", and that is where it all began. Arisen has released a self-produced demo for promotion. An EP to be released in April of 2012. Arisen will be playing shows to promote their upcoming EP all across Texas, so keep your eyes and ears open, Arisen is back on the scene....(read interview) |

Growing up, family and friends witnessed a once little girl transform into a young woman with an extremely big voice. What was once a hobby for Christina became a lifestyle that permeated every facet of who she was, allowing her impactful voice to be used for a much greater purpose: glorifying God.

My name's Matt Davis. I have successfully posted one devotional on Christcore (weak sauce on my part) and I used to play in the band Showbread for about Seven years. I was the "lead" guitar player, but since I am no slash, I will just say I was a guitar player in Showbread. I also drove the van most of the time.

| Aug 25th | Interview with: I Am Empire | | REVIEWER: Brian Morrissette REVIEW DATE: 2011-08-25 INTERVIEWER: Brian Morrissette
Sometimes the most compelling art can come from life’s greatest struggles, which in the case of Tooth & Nail newcomers I Am Empire, only added fuel to the group’s already blazing alternative rock fire. Though the San Jose-bred fivesome had no trouble igniting the local scene since forming in 2008, including dates alongside Flyleaf, Sublime, Deftones, Silversun Pickups, Thursday, Four Year Strong and The Wedding and pair of charting singles (“You’re A Fake” and “The Elevator”)....(read interview) |

| Apr 12th | Interview with: Brenda of LINK Global | | REVIEWER: Bryce Cooley REVIEW DATE: 2011-04-12 INTERVIEWER: Bryce Cooley
In the mid-1990s, over a million people died on the other side of the world, and hardly anybody noticed. Millions starved, hundreds of thousands were imprisoned in concentration camps, and tens of thousands crossed borders seeking food, money, protection and even freedom that they never knew existed. That place was, and continues to be, a land with virtually no freedoms - of speech, assembly, religion, movement and more....(read interview) |

| Jan 20th | Interview with: John Ball | | REVIEWER: Brian Morrissette REVIEW DATE: 2011-01-20 INTERVIEWER: Brian Morrissette
My name is John Ball, and I write what a lot of people call Christian music. Really what it is is an overflow of my heart. It’s a response to struggles, daily experiences, and a passion for the living God who has saved my soul. I want to create music that isn’t the same regurgitated Christian lines, the same chords progressions, and the same uncreative "junk" that has been heard over and over again....(read interview) |

Wolves At The Gate is a five-piece from the Dayton/Columbus area in Ohio. They began with two of the members (Steve Cobucci/Guitar & Vocals and Ryan Connelly/Drums) just jamming for fun in Steve's living room until they were asked to play a show and realized they needed a full band. They enlisted the help of Jeremy Steckel and Ben Summers to complete the band temporarily. From Indian Lakes released their debut full-length record, "The Man With Wooden Legs" on December 15, 2009. The band recorded the album with producer Dryw Owens (Consider the Thief) during the summer of 2009.
