The majority of Christians do not live in a bubble. We go to public schools, watch prime time TV, listen to secular radio, and watch mainstream movies. Our desire is that we can give you a Christian perspective on secular media. In doing so we hope that you will begin to view and listen to the media you consume daily through a filter of faith. We are called to be in the world and not of it (John 17:14-19).
I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth. – John 17:14-19
This does not mean we alienate ourselves from culture in a way that we cannot engage people where they’re at. We believe that in order to engage our culture we must understand it – just as Paul engaged the Athenians by reciting their poets and philosophers (Acts 17:16-34). Knowing does not mean condoning. We will review albums, movies, and books that we disagree with, and we will give our perspective as Bible-believing Christians to help inform others’ decisions as to whether or not they will listen to it, watch it, or read it.
If you have any questions or concerns about our decision to open up our site and meet culture where it’s at, please e-mail email@example.com I would love to talk with you.
Have a blessed day,
