Red and Green Band ‘Deadpool’ trailers dropped, what do you think?

I will admit, I’m a fan of the Deadpool comics.  Crass as they may be, the tongue and cheek fourth-wall breaking banter cracks me up.  For that reason, I’ve been anticipating this movie.  Yes, they destroyed his character in Wolverine Origins with his Baraka-esque claws and mouth sown shut, but people can learn from their mistakes, right?

A tiny teaser trailer was released on Monday to get the buzz train rolling, and, 9 million views later, we have are full trailer.  So, will this movie fix what has been broken?  Depends on your expectations. Judging from the trailer, this  movie looks as irreverant as most fans hoped and even includes references to Ryan Reynolds’ last attempts at superhero movies.  If you were unaware, they were The Green Lantern and Wolverine Origins and they were terrible.  The new Deadpool appears to be a faithful adaption from the comic combining raunchy comedy with over the top action violence, similar to movies like Kick A**. Watch the green band trailer below:

The movie looks fun, though it won’t be one you want to take the kids to see.  It looks as if the amount of action, violence, language (and, from what I hear, sex) will leave this firmly in the R-Rated category.  If your kids try to convince you it won’t be that bad by showing you the trailer above, be aware, their is a red band trailer that gives a much more clear vision of what this movie will be like.
