"Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous person who do not need to repent."
For a sinner to turn back to God is without a doubt one of the most celebrated events in any person's life. The value of redeeming a ransomed soul back to Christ is invaluable. You are worth so very much to the Lord, but perhaps you don't believe it or perhaps your entire life others have been bashing you down, devaluing you with how they talk to you or how they treat you or by some of the atrocious things they have done to you.
The Lord is grieved at the fact that we have been treated so wrongly by one another, but the price of free will is the possiblity of pain. Our Heavenly Father is saddened that everywhere we turn we are bombarded by agents of darkness deceiving us and telling us that we are nothing special, that we are worth nothing. What a horrendous lie.
Unfortunately for some, since they see themselves as nothing beautiful or in the Image of God, they figure "what is the point if I do ____ or ____? It's not as though anyone cares for me." What a horrendous lie that leads us on into sinning more and more.
Read this and read this well, the Lord cares for you, Jesus has you on His mind every millisecond, hoping that you would repent of the things that you are doing, and recognize that you are worth so very much to Him. Stop thinking that you are worth dirt and not diamonds, because in actuality you are worth so incredibly much more that it is actualy indescribable.
The Crucifixion is indescribable, as is the Resurrection, the event that broke death's grasp on us. The fact that a god, let alone THE God of creation, cares for each of us with such an intensity that if need be He would go through the Crucifixion time and time again because of the love that He had for us is amazing.
Understand that the Crucifixion is our worth, our beautiful price, our precious value, that Jesus Christ laid down His life for you. Stop thinking about you and the rest of the world, if He had to, Jesus would lay down His life for YOU AND YOU ALONE. HE LOVES YOU EVEN TO THE EXTENT THAT WOULD TELL HIM TO STOP BREATHING, JUST TO BE WITH YOU.
You are worth so very much, do not be deceived, you are lovely, you are beautiful, you are precious, you are priceless, you are incredible, don't you dare believe anyone else's words. You are worth every one of the Lord's best efforts to bring you home again, to a place where everything you will ever need is readily available in Him.
Jesus loves you more than His own life, take it to heart. Turn away from the things that you know deep down are not what you should be doing, and give all of heaven a reason to rejoice. The reason that you have decided to recognize your worth, and to stop living in spite of the Resurrection, and to start living in light of the Resurrection.
Stop wandering away, repent, start setting your eyes on Jesus, and start walking home.
May the Lord bless you and keep you, and make His face to shine upon you always, as you live this day and the next in the light that Jesus sees you as of more worth than His own life. Godbless and Godspeed.
